Mainly Cold and Dry Weather Expected Across the Country: Met Office

Islamabad: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected over most parts of the country during the next twelve hours, while very cold conditions are anticipated in hilly areas. Moderate to dense fog is likely to persist over Punjab, upper Sindh, and the plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Frost is likely to occur at isolated places in the Potohar region and Kashmir during the morning hours.

According to Radio Pakistan, the temperatures recorded in major cities this morning highlight the cold conditions. Islamabad reported a temperature of one degree centigrade, Lahore four, Karachi eleven, Peshawar three, Quetta minus-one, Gilgit minus-six, Murree zero, and Muzaffarabad two degrees centigrade.

In the region of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the weather forecast predicts very cold and dry conditions in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while Jammu is expected to experience cold and foggy weather. The temperatures recorded this morning were minus-three degrees centigrade in Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian, five in Jammu, minus-twelve in Leh, and minus-four in Pulwama and Baramula.
