Karachi:Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi has highlighted Pakistan's potential to secure a prominent position in the global halal market by leveraging science, technology, and innovation. Speaking at the inaugural Pakistan Halal Forum in Karachi, Magsi emphasized the strategic importance of these elements in advancing the country's halal industry.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister noted that the halal sector has become a vital component of the global economy, presenting significant opportunities for Pakistan to boost its exports and economic growth. Magsi stressed the necessity of strengthening the Pakistan Halal Authority, which serves as the national regulatory body overseeing halal products, to enhance its institutional capacity.

The Minister further advocated for international collaboration to gain access to global halal markets, proposing the promotion of partnerships with international organizations to reinforce Pakistan's halal sector.
