Made in Pakistan SMEs Cluster Expo 2026 Showcases Local Talent

Lahore: Chief Executive Officer of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) Nadia Jahanagir Seth, has stated that the 'Made in Pakistan SMEs Cluster Expo 2026' is a practical reflection of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif's vision to promote Small and Medium Enterprises across the country.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Expo featured more than 200 exhibitors from 33 SME clusters, showcasing a wide range of products. The SMEDA CEO explained that the primary objective of the Expo is to promote domestic commerce while creating global SME linkages, enabling Pakistani businesses to access international markets.

She highlighted that the Prime Minister personally monitors SME-related initiatives, and under the guidance of Special Assistant on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan, concrete steps are being taken to address challenges faced by SMEs. Nadia Jahanagir identified access to global markets and financing as major obstacles for SMEs, adding that the Expo has been organized to help overcome these issues.

She shared a success story of one vendor securing a contract worth 20 million rupees, calling it a positive development for the sector. She further stated that exhibitions like the Made in Pakistan SMEs Expo will be held regularly to implement the Prime Minister's vision, helping products from small and medium enterprises move from local to global markets and strengthen Pakistan's economic capacity.

The SMEDA CEO described the strong participation and representation at the Expo as an encouraging sign for the future of Pakistan's SME sector.
