Green Pakistan Initiative, led by Land Information and Management System (LIMS) is focusing on revitalizing agriculture in Cholistan desert. This initiative uses modern agricultural technology to improve farming and livestock management. Through this initiative, critical resources such as water and electricity are provided to farmers. LIMS has introduced smart agriculture machinery imported from China, marking a major shift towards modern farming techniques under the Corporate Farming Initiative. The initial focus of LIMS is Cholistan which will gradually expand to promote large-scale corporate farming across the country.
