Lahore: Due to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's environment-friendly measures, the environment standard in Lahore has considerably improved as compared to last year.
According to Radio Pakistan, the AQI level improved from October till the 10th of this month, showing an improvement of 58 points, despite dry weather and no rainfall.
The report stated that improvement in environmental standards is due to effective government measures, including indiscriminate action against smoke-emitting vehicles, substandard fuel, and industrial emissions. In this connection, Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's top priority is the protection of public health. She said that reforms and modern monitoring systems have been introduced to ensure the provision of clean air.
