Lahore: Lahore Qalandars is organizing cricket trials for boys and girls in 25 cities across Pakistan as part of the Player Development Programme to discover new talent. This initiative aims to form 25 teams and provide a structured pathway for emerging players in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.
According to Radio Pakistan, Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana emphasized the importance of necessary resources being made available for the initiative. Aspiring young cricketers can register through the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Lahore Qalandars’ social media platforms, or by attending trials at designated locations and dates announced in the media.
Atif Rana further stated that while the first decade of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) focused on the Player Development Program, the next decade will center on ‘Friends of Qalandars.’ Under this initiative, an app will be introduced for youngsters to showcase various talents, including singing, acting, painting, and content generation. The best talents will be offered scholarships at international universities.
During the announcement, Director General Radio Pakistan, Saeed Ahmed Sheikh, expressed full support for the Lahore Qalandars’ Player Development Programme. He highlighted Radio Pakistan’s commitment to promoting the country’s positive image internationally.
