Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Commence First State Visit to Pakistan


Islamabad: President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Zhaparov, is set to arrive in Islamabad today for a two-day maiden state visit to Pakistan. He is visiting at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.



According to Radio Pakistan, President Zhaparov will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including senior cabinet ministers, high-ranking officials, and business leaders. During his visit, he is scheduled to meet with the President of Pakistan, engage in a tªte- -tªte followed by delegation-level discussions with the Prime Minister, and address the Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan Business Forum.



The discussions between the two nations will cover a comprehensive review of bilateral relations. They aim to explore new opportunities for cooperation across multiple sectors such as trade, energy, defense, education, people-to-people exchanges, and regional connectivity. The last Presidential visit from the Kyrgyz Republic to Pakistan was in January 2005.



The visit underscores the strong ties between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, rooted in a shared history, faith, and common goals for peace and prosperity in Central and South Asia. It is anticipated to inject new energy into bilateral cooperation and strengthen collaboration at both regional and multilateral levels.
