Istanbul: Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, expressed Pakistan's eagerness to foster public-private partnerships with Saudi Arabia to modernize its transport sector. He conveyed this interest during discussions with Saudi Minister for Transport and Logistics, Saleh Bin Nasser Al-Jasser, at the OIC Conference in Istanbul.

According to Radio Pakistan, both ministers reviewed the ongoing progress in Saudi Arabia's communications sector and explored avenues for cooperation among OIC member states to bolster regional trade and connectivity. Abdul Aleem Khan extended a formal invitation to the Saudi government to invest in the M-10 Motorway, which features a new alignment from Karachi Port to Hyderabad, and emphasized the potential for investment in Pakistan's maritime sector.

The Saudi Minister showed a keen interest in modernizing Pakistan's communications infrastructure and expressed a particular interest in increasing flight operations to the country. In parallel, a meeting between Abdul Aleem Khan and former Turkish Minister for Family and Social Services, Zehra Zumrut Selcuk, focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the agriculture sector, as well as collaboration in Islamic banking.
