KP Advisor Thanks Centre for Allocating Over Rs70b for Merged Districts in Budget


Peshawar: Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Finance, Muzammil Aslam, has expressed gratitude to the federal government for authorizing more than seventy billion rupees in funding for the province’s merged districts.



According to Radio Pakistan, during a post-budget conference in Peshawar held on Saturday, Muzammil Aslam also confirmed the receipt of thirty-six billion rupees under the net hydel profit share from the federal government. He highlighted that the provincial government has allocated a total of five-hundred and forty-seven billion rupees for various development projects.



Muzammil Aslam stated that the government has set aside one-hundred and fifty-three billion rupees for settled areas under the Annual Development Program for the next financial year. Additionally, the government has submitted an amount of one-hundred and fifty billion rupees for loan payments.



He further elaborated on the budget allocations, noting that twenty-two percent has been dedicated to the education sector, fourteen-point five percent to health, and nine-point one percent to law and order and security.
