Islamabad: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a three-day long second phase of the anti-polio campaign in selected districts will begin from Monday. The initiative aims to curb the spread of polio by targeting specific areas within the province.
According to Radio Pakistan, the campaign will be conducted in Bajaur, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, North Waziristan, and South Waziristan. These districts have been selected based on strategic importance and the need to ensure comprehensive vaccine coverage.
During the campaign, the anti-polio vaccine will be administered to children who are less than five years of age. This is part of a broader effort to eliminate polio and safeguard the health of young children in the region. The health authorities have been preparing extensively to ensure the success of this phase of the campaign.
