Sialkot: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has emphasized that safeguarding the public interest must take precedence over personal interests. Talking to media representatives in Sialkot, he stated that words are not enough to express sorrow over the Swat tragedy.

According to Radio Pakistan, earlier Khawaja Muhammad Asif visited the residence of the victims of the Swat tragedy and expressed his condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families. Meanwhile, Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam visited the Daska area of Sialkot to offer condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent Swat accident.

Speaking with the bereaved families, Muqam expressed profound sorrow over the tragic loss of life and conveyed that he was visiting on the special instructions of the Prime Minister.
