Karachi: Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has asserted that education is a right for everyone, emphasizing that the greatest disability lies in accepting slavery, greed, and dishonesty. He was addressing a conference titled ‘The Role of Professional and Social Workers for Disabled Persons’ held at the University of Karachi.
According to Radio Pakistan, Dr Siddiqui highlighted the importance of the University of Karachi as a pivotal institution in the city, stating that it will be developed into a center for special education. The minister’s remarks underscored a commitment to ensuring educational opportunities for all, regardless of physical or social barriers.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, also spoke at the event, announcing that the University has further opened its doors to disabled students by offering them full fee concessions. This initiative aims to remove financial barriers and promote inclusivity within the educational framework of the institution.
