Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, is set to embark on a two-day official visit to Pakistan starting Monday.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level 13-member delegation, which includes the Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan. During the visit, Nurtleu is scheduled to engage in a one-on-one meeting with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar. This meeting will be followed by delegation-level discussions.
Nurtleu is also expected to call on both the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan. This visit is viewed as an important precursor to the upcoming visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, planned for November 2025.
The dialogue during this visit will focus on reviewing preparations for the anticipated Presidential visit and discussing a wide range of bilateral cooperation areas. Key topics will include trade and investment, agriculture, education, cultural and tourism exchanges, as well as regional connectivity and logistics. The discussions will also cover collaboration in multilateral forums.
In addition, Joint Working Groups meetings on Agriculture and IT are set to take place on the sidelines of the Deputy Prime Minister's visit. This visit is expected to strengthen the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Kazakhstan and foster deeper bilateral engagements across various sectors, benefiting the citizens of both nations.
