Srinagar: Kashmiris marked India's Republic Day by observing it as Black Day, organizing anti-India protest demonstrations and rallies globally.
According to Radio Pakistan, these events were held in capitals worldwide to convey that Kashmiris view India as an oppressor of their fundamental rights and illegitimate in celebrating Republic Day in the region.
The occupation authorities enforced a stringent lockdown ahead of Republic Day, implementing multi-layered security grids, additional checkpoints, and numerous identity checks throughout the territory. On the same day, Black Day was observed across Azad Jammu and Kashmir, with peaceful public rallies held in several areas. A significant number of participants joined to protest against Indian actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Demonstrators reaffirmed their support for the ongoing freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people against Indian forces, asserting that the Indian regime in Occupied Kashmir holds no legal, constitutional, or moral ground. Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference stated that India lacks the right to celebrate its Republic Day in the occupied region.
