Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in his capacity as Chairman Gilgit Baltistan Council, has appointed Justice Retired Yar Muhammad as the caretaker Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, a notification issued by the Gilgit-Baltistan Council states that the appointment of the caretaker Chief Minister has been made under Article 48-A(2) of the Gilgit-Baltistan Order 2018.
