Beijing: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has departed for China to attend the 14th Joint Coordination Committee meeting on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, scheduled in Beijing on Friday. Before leaving for China, in a statement, the Minister underlined the strategic significance of the meeting in shaping the future of Pakistan-China economic cooperation. He said China has always stood by Pakistan in every difficult time.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal said the 14th JCC meeting will serve as a platform to operationalize the vision for CPEC Phase II, focusing on industrial collaboration, technological innovation, and sustainable development. The Minister for Planning said Pakistan is now on a new journey of economic development and national prosperity and economic indicators have shown marked improvement in recent months.
