Islamabad: Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, who is currently in Cairo to represent Pakistan at the fourth meeting of the D-8 Trade Ministers Council, met with Ahmed Elsewedy, the President of the leading multinational industrial group Elsewedy Electric, today. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and Egypt, particularly in the realm of innovation-led ventures. According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted the significant growth potential within Pakistan's mining sector. He emphasized the recent policy reforms, the introduction of investor-friendly frameworks, and the emergence of public-private partnership avenues that are paving the way for robust economic cooperation. The Minister extended an invitation to Egyptian companies, encouraging them to explore partnerships, engage in innovation-led ventures, and participate in digital trade cooperation with Pakistan. The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties agreeing to maintain ongoin g collaboration to enhance investment and industrial cooperation between the two nations. This mutual understanding is expected to foster a conducive environment for further economic engagements and strengthen the trade ties between Pakistan and Egypt.
