Islamabad: Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan held a meeting with Ambassador of the Philippines Dr Emmanuel R Fernandez in Islamabad and discussed the avenues for enhancing Pakistan's rice exports to the Philippine market.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Commerce Minister said Pakistan is currently on a strong agricultural output trajectory while maintaining consistent quality standards. He further stated that Pakistan has identified the Philippines as one of the key partner countries for enhanced rice exports.

Filipino Ambassador acknowledged Pakistan's longstanding position among the top three rice suppliers to the Philippines.
