Islamabad: Islamabad Police is conducting an effective crackdown in the federal capital to ensure the safety of citizens lives and property by curbing crime and arresting criminal elements.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, police teams from Secretariat, Karachi Company, Shalimar, Sabzi Mandi, Khanna, Humak, and Phulgran police stations arrested 12 accused and recovered 120 liters of liquor, 1,347 grams of heroin, 507 grams of hashish, 865 grams of Ice, four pistols with ammunition, and three daggers from their possession. Cases have been registered against the accused, and further investigations are ongoing.
Additionally, during a special campaign to apprehend absconders and proclaimed offenders, eight criminals were also arrested.
SSP Operations Islamabad Muhammad Shoaib Khan stated that Islamabad Police is always actively engaged in ensuring the protection of citizens lives and property in the federal capital. No one will be allowed to disrupt the peace of the citizens. The safety and security of citizens remain the top priority of Islamabad Police, he added.
He urged citizens to immediately report any suspicious activity to the relevant police station or via the emergency helpline 15 so that, through mutual cooperation between police and the public, the city can be made crime-free.
