Ishaq Dar, Touhid Hossain Emphasize Unity Across Muslim Ummah


Doha: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab Islamic Summit preparatory meeting in Doha, Qatar. They condemned Israeli strikes on Qatar and other Muslim nations and reaffirmed unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. They also emphasized unity across the Muslim Ummah.



According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting between the two leaders took place during a crucial time as tensions in the region have been escalating. Both officials underscored the importance of solidarity among Muslim countries to address ongoing conflicts and challenges. The discussions highlighted the necessity of unified strategies to promote peace and stability in the region.



The meeting also focused on enhancing bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Both sides expressed their commitment to fostering cooperation in various sectors, including trade and cultural exchanges. The leaders acknowledged the potential for collaboration in addressing regional issues and emphasized the significance of mutual understanding and support.



Both Ishaq Dar and Touhid Hossain reiterated their countries’ commitment to supporting Palestine and called for an end to hostilities in the region. They advocated for peaceful resolutions to conflicts and urged the international community to pay attention to the plight of the Palestinian people.
