Beijing: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has left Beijing following a significant three-day visit to China.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar was the first foreign minister to be received by his Chinese counterpart, Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in 2026. During his visit, Dar co-chaired the 7th Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue alongside Wang Yi. The discussions were part of a broader effort to enhance diplomatic ties between the two nations.
In addition to the strategic dialogue, Dar held meetings with several key Chinese officials, including Executive Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Liu Haixing, Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency Chen Xiaodong, and Vice President of China Minmetals Corporation Xu Jiqing. These meetings were aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
A notable highlight of the visit was the official launch of the commemorative activities marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. The milestone underscores the longstanding partnership and mutual cooperation between the two countries.
