Islamabad: Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has announced that November 9 has been designated as “Allama Iqbal Day” in the Iranian solar calendar. This declaration honors the legacy of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, a renowned poet-philosopher celebrated for his contributions to both Islamic thought and Persian literature.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Moghadam highlighted Iqbal’s profound impact on Persian literature and his role in fostering an intellectual connection between Iran and Pakistan. Iqbal’s advocacy for unity and faith, as well as his visions of justice, knowledge, and spiritual awakening, are emphasized as guiding principles that transcend national borders and continue to inspire.
The Ambassador noted that Iqbal is revered not only as a visionary figure in Pakistan but also as a cultural and spiritual icon within the broader Muslim world.
