Dhaka: Coordinator General of OIC-COMSTECH Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary has appreciated Bangladesh’s strong partnership with COMSTECH in advancing science and technology. He was addressing the inaugural session of the 3rd OIC Youth Forum on Agricultural Biotechnology at North South University in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Choudhary highlighted the success of the COMSTECH-Bangladesh Scholarship Program, which has enabled several young scholars to pursue advanced studies and research in Pakistan and other OIC states. He emphasized that the forum will focus on agricultural biotechnology and genome editing technologies, crucial for tackling global food security and climate change challenges.
Furthermore, Dr. Choudhary dedicated the 3rd OIC Youth Forum on Agricultural Biotechnology to the people of Gaza, who are currently facing starvation. The event gathered eminent policymakers, academics, and representatives from international organizations. The opening session was also attended by Bangladesh’s Finance Advisor, Salehuddin Ahmed, along with other key officials.
