Lahore: Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has vowed to relentlessly chase down and eliminate terrorist elements to ensure lasting peace and prosperity in the country. Addressing a news conference along with religious scholars in Lahore today, he highlighted significant progress in tracing the handlers and facilitators of the recent Islamabad terrorist incident. Tarar assured that the noose has been tightened around these perpetrators and they will be brought to justice.
According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar strongly condemned the attacks on Muslims during Friday prayers, stating that such acts cannot be associated with any religion, caste, or creed. He expressed the state's resolve to eradicate these Khawarij and assured further strengthening of security at worship places including mosques and Imambargahs.
Referring to the establishment of the Paigham-e-Aman Committee, comprising religious scholars from all schools of thought, Tarar emphasized that the message is one of peace, with no room for hate and sectarianism. He affirmed that all religious scholars are united and, with this unity, the nation will move forward to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
