Islamabad: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has praised the decision made by the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) to cease the airing of Indian songs on Pakistani FM Radio Channels, in response to the rapidly evolving current situation.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting expressed his appreciation in a letter addressed to the Secretary General of the PBA. He described this move as a patriotic gesture that resonates with the collective sentiment of the nation. The Minister noted that the PBA’s decision reflects a strong sense of national solidarity.
The Minister emphasized that the PBA’s initiative, which was taken independently, upholds the dignity and sovereignty of the nation. He stated that such actions demonstrate a united front in promoting national unity and supporting core values during challenging times.
Attaullah Tarar, the Information Minister, expressed pride in the efforts of all media stakeholders who continue to act in the national interest. He acknowledged their support for government efforts aimed at promoting unity, peace, and patriotism.
