Islamabad: President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto will arrive in Islamabad today on a two-day official visit to Pakistan. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising key ministers and senior officials. This visit marks President Prabowo’s first to Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, the visit carries added significance as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Indonesia. During his stay, President Prabowo will hold delegation-level talks with the Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and will also meet President Asif Ali Zardari. Additionally, the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, will call on President Prabowo.
The two sides are set to discuss a wide-ranging agenda aimed at further strengthening Pakistan-Indonesia relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation. These discussions will cover various sectors including trade, investment, defence, health, IT, climate, education, and culture. Moreover, they will seek to enhance collaboration at both regional and global levels.
