Indonesian Defence Minister Praises Professionalism of Pakistan Air Force

Islamabad: A defence delegation led by the Minister of Defence of Indonesia, Lieutenant General (Retd) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, met with the Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, in Islamabad today. The meeting underscored the historic and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Indonesia, emphasizing the enhancement of bilateral Air Force cooperation, particularly focusing on capacity building, training, and technological collaboration.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Air Chief briefed the Indonesian delegation on the Pakistan Air Force's modernization initiatives. These initiatives include infrastructure development, revamped training programs, and the induction of niche capabilities aimed at enhancing readiness for multi-domain operations. The Indonesian Defence Minister commended the professionalism, combat readiness, and indigenization achievements of the PAF under the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park, expressing a strong interest in expanding cooperation in training, aviation, and aerospace sectors.

The meeting highlighted the growing momentum in defence ties between Pakistan and Indonesia, and the shared commitment to deepen cooperation through sustained engagement and dialogue.
