Islamabad: Former Ambassador of Pakistan to the United Nations and former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan, has commented on India’s disinformation campaign, describing it as a reflection of strategic insecurity while noting the rise in Pakistan’s global standing.
According to Radio Pakistan, Sardar Masood Khan characterized India’s disinformation warfare as systemic, state-sponsored, and ideologically driven. He highlighted that misinformation and propaganda have long been tools employed by the BJP and RSS to malign Pakistan. He stated that Indian propaganda is not a new phenomenon and has previously been exposed both in Europe and globally.
The former ambassador emphasized the significance of the year 2025 for Pakistan’s diplomacy, noting it as a breakthrough year. This development, he said, was catalyzed by Pakistan’s measured and responsible conduct during and after the May 2025 conflict with India.
Sardar Masood Khan pointed out that Pakistan’s dignified acceptance of US-led ceasefire diplomacy, in sharp contrast to India’s belligerence, has significantly enhanced Islamabad’s credibility in key global capitals. He further noted that the approval of a $686 million F-16 upgrade package by the United States reflects renewed trust, enhanced interoperability, and recognition of Pakistan’s role in regional peace and security.
