Indian PM’s Address Reflects Shameful Defeat, Says Senator Irfan

Islamabad: PML-N Parliamentary Party leader in Senate and Chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, has criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent address, describing it as a confession of a shameful defeat. Siddiqui’s remarks come in the wake of what he terms as the disastrous outcome of India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’.

According to Radio Pakistan, Senator Siddiqui expressed his views on the social media platform X, stating that the failed ‘Operation Sindoor’ has left a mark of disgrace on India, metaphorically filling Bharat Maata’s ‘maang’ with ashes. He highlighted that the operation’s failure represents a significant setback for India, one that cannot be rectified by mere speeches or the passage of time.

Senator Siddiqui pointed out that Prime Minister Modi’s address to the nation on Monday was an admission of this defeat, with his body language betraying the demeanor of someone who has lost. Siddiqui suggested that in light of such a decisive defeat by the Pakistani armed forces, it would have been more prudent for India to remain silent rather than resort to public addresses.
