India Suffering from Insecurity Syndrome: Ahsan

Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has voiced that India suffers from an insecurity syndrome despite being significantly larger in both size and landmass compared to Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal issued a statement on Saturday highlighting the contrast between the two countries. He noted that Pakistan, with its 77 years of statehood and comparatively smaller geography and population, exhibits greater composure and maturity than its neighbor.

Addressing the recent Jaffar Express incident, Ahsan Iqbal praised Pakistan’s response, which involved a commitment to enhancing its security even in the face of credible evidence suggesting foreign involvement. He criticized India’s approach to the Pahalgam tragedy, describing it as impulsive and reactive, as Indian authorities quickly blamed Pakistan without providing substantiated evidence or acknowledging their own security lapses.

Ahsan Iqbal further commented on the political conduct in both nations, emphasizing that no political leader in Pakistan has leveraged anti-India sentiment for electoral gains. In contrast, he pointed out that inciting anti-Pakistan sentiments frequently features in India’s pre-election political campaigns. He concluded by describing the behavior of the Indian government and media as an irony in terms of responsibility.
