Islamabad: Pakistan says India continues to block its humanitarian assistance to Sri Lanka. In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi reported that the special aircraft carrying Pakistan’s humanitarian assistance to Sri Lanka has been delayed for over sixty hours, still awaiting flight clearance from India.
According to Radio Pakistan, the partial flight clearance issued by India last night came after a 48-hour delay. However, the clearance was operationally impractical as it was time-bound for just a few hours and did not include validity for the return flight. This has severely hindered the urgent relief mission intended for the brotherly people of Sri Lanka.
