India Accused of Sponsoring Terrorism in Pakistan to Destabilize Region: DG ISPR

Rawalpindi: Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has asserted that India is actively sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan in an effort to destabilize the region.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a joint news conference with Interior Secretary Khurram Agha in Rawalpindi, Lieutenant General Chaudhry revealed that credible information and evidence indicate India's involvement in fostering terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through proxies such as Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitan al-Khawarij. He claimed that India has become the epicenter of destabilization in the region, financing and directing terrorist activities in Pakistan.

The DG ISPR accused Indian proxies of targeting civilians, including laborers, barbers, passengers, and school children, under the direction of Indian authorities. He emphasized that Indian social media and electronic media platforms are also contributing to terrorism in Pakistan, showcasing evidence of Indian media celebrating terrorist activities, such as the attack on Jaffer Express.

Interior Secretary Khurram Agha highlighted that initial findings into the Khuzdar School Bus attack confirm it as part of a broader pattern of violence sponsored by India through Fitna al-Hindustan, under the guidance of Indian intelligence agency RAW. He stated that India's failed operations have led to an increase in terrorist attacks in Balochistan, aiming to sabotage development and spread fear.

Secretary Agha expressed the determination of Pakistan and its citizens, particularly in Balochistan, to resist these malicious designs. He assured that the state, in collaboration with provincial governments, is committed to dismantling these networks and ensuring justice for the perpetrators. Agha criticized the targeting of soft targets, such as laborers and schoolchildren, to portray a weakening state control.

The DG ISPR presented videos of Baloch separatists confessing to being manipulated by India for anti-Pakistan activities, including exploiting young Balochs for suicide bombings. Chaudhry stressed that the ongoing activities of Fitna al-Hindustan are intended to challenge Pakistan's resolve, but instead strengthen it.

Citing a father who lost his daughters in a terrorist attack, the DG ISPR urged unity and determination against Indian proxies, drawing parallels to past military responses. He noted that all national elements are united against terrorism, with successful operations leading to the elimination of over 203 terrorists in Balochistan this year alone.

Chaudhry highlighted India's frustration with Balochistan's socio-economic progress, citing projects like the Rekodiq gold mine, Gwadar port, and agricultural initiatives. He emphasized Pakistan's rational approach to addressing Balochistan's issues and reaffirmed Pakistan's stance on India's role as a regional destabilizer.

The DG ISPR concluded by asserting Pakistan's commitment to revealing India's destabilizing actions, drawing attention to historical incidents such as Mukti Bahini-1971, and advocating for global awareness of India's activities in the region.
