Islamabad: The President of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, visited the female gymnasium and medical centre at the university’s female campus as part of his ongoing review of student support facilities.
According to International Islamic University Islamabad, during his tour of the gymnasium, the President inspected exercise areas, sports equipment, and indoor fitness arrangements. He was briefed by officials on the facilities available to promote physical fitness, health, and co-curricular engagement for female students. Interacting with staff present on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed emphasized that fostering a vibrant sports culture is essential for the holistic development of students. He noted that well-maintained, modern fitness amenities play a significant role in enhancing student well-being, motivation, and campus life, particularly for hostel residents.
The President directed the concerned departments to further improve the gymnasium
environment, ensure regular maintenance of equipment, and explore additional opportunities to encourage student participation in sports and fitness activities.
As part of the visit, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed also reviewed the female campus medical centre. He inspected its facilities, interacted with medical staff, and inquired about the services being provided to students. The President assured his full support for strengthening the medical centre and emphasized that the health and safety of students will remain a central priority of the university administration.
