Islamabad: Kashmiri political prisoners including youth and activists languishing in different jails of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and India are facing inhumane conditions.
According to Radio Pakistan, inmates are subjected to extortion and mistreatment under the Jail in-charge.
The Kashmiri prisoners are under continuous life threat in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Indian jails as Israeli-typed policy has been adopted by Indian BJP government and its sponsored police officers in jails. The families of the detainees have expressed serious concern over worsening conditions in jails growing human rights violations and appealed to United Nations Human Rights Council and other international human rights organizations to intervene and take notice of the inhuman treatment.
Meanwhile, in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail, top Hurriyat leaders including Masarrat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, and Aasiya Andrabi are facing slow death due to denial of basic medical rights. In another development, India’s New Delhi-controlled State Investigation Agency carried out raids at two locations in the Bijbehara area of Islamabad district.
Indian authorities have booked noted academic and activist Dr. Abdul Bari Naik from Kulgam under the draconian Public Safety Act in IIOJK, allowing detention without trial. In a related development, Indian police re-arrested Muslim League leader Assadullah Parray in Hajin area of Bandipora after his release from jail a few days ago.
