Srinagar: In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference and legal experts have strongly condemned the BJP-led Indian government for fabricating evidence in politically motivated cases against senior Kashmiri leaders, particularly Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik.
According to Radio Pakistan, APHC spokesman Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar said the reopening of a 1990 case involving the killing of four Indian Air Force personnel is aimed at silencing Yasin Malik and other leaders demanding the UN-recognized right to self-determination.
Legal experts said that the alleged eyewitnesses appeared before a TADA court in Jammu decades after the incident, raising serious questions about the credibility and timing of the testimonies.
The Indian forces continued raids and search operations, carrying out interrogation and questioning in homes, hospitals, jails, and business centres across Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Residents complained that these coercive operations conducted under the pretext of so-called security checks, have created an atmosphere of fear and suffocation, as civilians are harassed, their properties searched, and their movements restricted.
