Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has approved in principle the establishment of an international standard zoo and safari park in Islamabad. Chairing a meeting at CDA headquarters in Islamabad, he said the groundbreaking of this project will be performed in October. He said the Zoo and Safari park will increase tourism in Islamabad. The Interior Minister directed to register the Zoo and Safari park with the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. It will span over an area of two hundred acres. A total of five thousand animals and birds will be housed in the zoo and safari park. Source: Radio Pakistan
