Hot and Dry Conditions to Persist Across Country with Isolated Thunderstorms Expected


Islamabad: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, with very hot conditions anticipated in plain areas. However, partly cloudy weather accompanied by dust or thunderstorm-rain is likely at isolated locations in northeast and South Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper and southeast Sindh, northeast Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.



According to Radio Pakistan, the temperature recorded in major cities this morning highlights the extent of the heat. Islamabad reported a temperature of twenty-six degrees centigrade, while Lahore recorded thirty-four, Karachi thirty, Peshawar and Muzaffarabad twenty-five, Quetta twenty-two, Gilgit sixteen, and Murree twenty-one degrees centigrade.



In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the weather forecast predicts partly cloudy conditions with the possibility of rain and thunderstorms in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. Jammu is expected to experience partly cloudy and hot weather. This morning, temperatures in the area were recorded as follows: sixteen degrees centigrade in Srinagar and Anantnag, thirty in Jammu, seven in Leh, fifteen in Pulwama, fourteen in Shopian, and nineteen in Baramula.
