Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced significant advancements in the automation and integration of systems related to Hajj operations.
According to Radio Pakistan, Assistant Director of the IT cell at the Ministry, Jamil ur Rehman, shared details of these developments during an interview with correspondent Abdul Rehman Cheema. He emphasized that complete automation has been achieved, covering processes from application submission to post-Hajj feedback, through modern IT systems and the Pak Hajj App.
Jamil ur Rehman elaborated on the Pak Hajj App’s features, stating that it offers pilgrims real-time access to application statuses, group details, training schedules, and vaccination appointments. The app also confirms training attendance and provides flight details once seats are allocated.
The app includes a feedback mechanism, allowing pilgrims to share their experiences and suggestions regularly. Additionally, a real-time complaint management system has been integrated, enabling pilgrims to report issues that are promptly assigned to the relevant officer. The app tracks complaints, displaying status updates until resolution.
To address baggage mishandling, QR-coded tags linked to each pilgrim’s profile and photograph have been introduced. This innovation facilitates quick identification and tracking of luggage, reducing mishandling incidents.
