Islamabad: The Hajj Flight Operation to airlift intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia is set to commence tomorrow. The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has finalized all necessary arrangements for this significant event.
According to Radio Pakistan, the operation will kick off with six flights scheduled for the first day. These flights will include two departures from Lahore and one each from Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta, and Multan. A PIA flight, PK-713, carrying 393 pilgrims, is scheduled to depart at 4:45 in the morning from Islamabad International Airport.
Under the government Hajj scheme, a total of 89,000 pilgrims will be transported to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah through 342 flights. For the first fifteen days, pilgrims will be flown directly to Madinah, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has stated that the Hajj flight operation will continue for 33 days, with the last Hajj flight from Pakistan scheduled to depart on the 31st of the next month.
