Makkah: Pakistan has received the Labaitum Excellence Award for providing outstanding services to the Hujjaj.

According to Radio Pakistan, Saudi Arabia conferred the prestigious award on Director General of Pakistan Hajj Mission, Abdul Wahab Soomro, recognizing his leadership, administrative skills, and services. The Labaitum Excellence Award is among the highest honors by Saudi authorities, granted to individuals and organizations that demonstrate exemplary performance and innovation in serving pilgrims.

This marks the first time that a Pakistani Head of Hajj Mission has been honored with this award, creating a moment of national pride. Meanwhile, in a separate development, Saudi Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Abdul Fatah Mishat, handed over a preliminary planning document and schedule for Hajj 2026 to Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, in Makkah.
