Lahore: Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has paid rich tribute to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and his team on great economic achievements in just one year. Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Sunday, she said that the recent reduction in power tariff, announced by the Prime Minister, is a big gift for the nation.
According to Radio Pakistan, every segment of society has welcomed this relief, which is not less than a miracle during the IMF Program. Marriyum Aurangzeb highlighted that the Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has played a very important role in this regard.
She pointed out that Pakistan’s inflation rate has lowered to 0.7 percent in just one year, the interest rate is down at 12 percent, and the stock market is doing excellent business. The Punjab Senior Minister emphasized that the Punjab government provided the farmer community with the biggest Kissan Package in the province’s history and ensured ration delivery to needy families under the Ramadan Package.
Moreover, she noted that 750 roads have been reconstructed throughout the province, and scholarships have been given to fifty thousand students. She mentioned that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announces a new development project every day, underscoring the government’s commitment to progress.
Marriyum Aurangzeb criticized those who ruled Pakistan from 2018 till 2022, accusing them of ruining the country’s economy.
