Islamabad: Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal announced that the government has developed a forward-looking plan to bolster the primary healthcare system. Speaking at an event in Islamabad, Kamal highlighted the current strain on tertiary care hospitals and emphasized the importance of improving primary and secondary healthcare services.

According to Radio Pakistan, Kamal noted the government's commitment to ensuring that citizens have access to quality medical treatment within their communities. The initiative aims to reduce the burden on larger hospitals by focusing efforts on strengthening local healthcare infrastructure, thereby providing better healthcare services closer to home.
