Karachi: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal says the federal government is committed to ensure national uplift, under the new initiative ‘Uraan Pakistan’.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal emphasized that the federal government would collaborate closely for the development of the country under this new initiative. During a media interaction in Karachi, he assured that efforts would be made to address the issues raised by the Sindh government.
Earlier, Ahsan Iqbal reviewed the PSDP projects in a meeting attended by Sindh’s Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Nasir Shah, P and D Sindh Chairman Najam Ahmed Shah, and other secretaries. The discussion highlighted the progress and challenges of the Sindh People’s Housing Project for Flood Affectees.
Ahsan Iqbal outlined that ‘Uraan Pakistan’ focuses on moving past previous errors and looking towards the future. He stressed the importance of adopting an export-led growth strategy, urging each province to establish an export development board to enhance export quality and management.
He also called for significant technology adoption and emphasized the need for governments to minimize energy losses. Water management projects were discussed as crucial for addressing water shortages, and strategies for developing Karachi’s infrastructure were underscored as pivotal for shaping Pakistan’s future.
