Govt to Auction 600 MHz Spectrum Next Month: Shaza


Islamabad: Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima has announced that the government will auction 600 MHz spectrum next month to ensure high-speed and reliable internet services across the country. Addressing an event in Islamabad, she stated that the cabinet has ratified the spectrum auction, which aims to improve 4G speeds and facilitate the rollout of 5G services.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister of IT reaffirmed the government’s commitment to investing in the capacity building of the youth. She highlighted that over half a million young people have been trained in various fields over the past one and a half years. Additionally, she emphasized the government’s focus on the digital transformation of Pakistan, noting ongoing efforts to achieve fully digitized governance.



Expressing satisfaction over the IT export figures, Shaza Fatima noted that these exports have surpassed 3.8 billion dollars this year, growing at an average rate of 20 percent.
