Islamabad: Advisor on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah has affirmed the government’s ongoing willingness to engage in dialogue with opposition parties as a means to advance the country’s interests. Addressing the Senate, he emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering discussions despite previous rejections from the opposition.
According to Radio Pakistan, Rana Sanaullah responded to concerns raised by Senator Mishal Azam, highlighting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s repeated offers to engage in talks with the opposition. He expressed regret that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has persistently declined these negotiation efforts. Sanaullah also noted that the PTI founding Chairman is afforded meetings in accordance with the jail manual.
In other developments, the Senate has successfully passed ‘The National Agri-trade and Food Safety Authority Bill, 2025.’ The legislation, introduced by Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, seeks to establish the National Agri-trade and Food Safety Authority, aimed at enhancing the country’s agricultural trade and food safety standards.
