Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain has emphasized the government’s focus on developing quality seeds to improve crop yields and enhance farmer prosperity. He shared these insights during a discussion with Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, Asad Majeed.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted Pakistan’s adoption of modern agricultural technologies, including aeroponics, which has been successfully utilized for boosting potato production. These advancements are part of comprehensive reforms in the country’s agricultural sector aimed at overcoming food security challenges globally.
Rana Tanveer Hussain reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring agricultural sustainability, food security, and economic growth through innovation and strategic reforms. During the meeting, Asad Majeed extended an invitation to Pakistan to participate in various EU-led agricultural initiatives, signaling potential collaborative opportunities.
