Lahore: Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Environment and Wildlife Kanwal Liaqat has emphasized that eliminating environmental pollution is the government’s top priority. In a recent interview, she outlined the government’s commitment to addressing this pressing issue.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Parliamentary Secretary highlighted that the government is utilizing all available resources to combat environmental pollution. Kanwal Liaqat emphasized that Punjab is the only province to have introduced its first climate change policy, which includes a comprehensive smog mitigation plan aimed at reducing pollution levels.

She also mentioned that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is actively engaged in promoting sustainable environmental measures. The government’s initiatives include the Hawk Eye Project, which uses drones equipped with the latest technology for field operations and aerial surveillance.

Kanwal Liaqat urged the public to support the Punjab government’s efforts, stressing the importance of collective action in achieving a pollution-free environment.
