Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar announced that the government is actively working to promote digital media. Speaking at the launch of the digital platform Mazaj News in Islamabad, he emphasized the importance of digital media in contemporary communication, particularly during critical events such as Marka-e-Haq.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister Tarar highlighted the need to effectively use digital platforms to counter misinformation and project a positive image of the country. He underlined the necessity of establishing a representative association for digital media platforms to create a unified editorial policy. The government, he assured, would provide full support and cooperation in this initiative.

In response to a question, Tarar affirmed the Pakistan People’s Party as a significant ally of the government. He expressed optimism about the continuation of this partnership. Tarar also stressed the importance of dialogue and consensus in politics, warning against the pitfalls of boycotts.
