Toba tek singh: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has reaffirmed the government’s strong commitment to supporting flood-affected families and ensuring their rehabilitation.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister delivered this assurance during a briefing held in Toba Tek Singh. He was informed that nearly 80 villages had been inundated, prompting the relocation of residents to safer areas. Aurangzeb visited Mill Fatyana Bridge to review ongoing relief efforts, where he praised the rescue teams and directed them to accelerate their response.
While addressing the media, Aurangzeb expressed satisfaction with the adjustments made to electricity bills and reiterated the government’s efforts to facilitate traders and investors as part of measures to stabilize the national economy. He highlighted that all major economic decisions would involve consultations with provincial governments.
Aurangzeb further appreciated the government’s management of the flood emergency and underscored the importance of conducting a thorough damage assessment before initiating rehabilitation efforts. He cautioned against artificial inflation in the wake of the disaster and announced the forthcoming introduction of a relief package for farmers.
