Islamabad: Minister for Power Sardar Awais Khan Leghari has announced that the Power Division is actively working to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply and prompt resolution of consumer complaints.
According to Radio Pakistan, the minister made these remarks during the inauguration of the newly operational 118 helpline for electricity-related complaints in Islamabad. This service aims to allow citizens to register complaints from their homes, ensuring that issues are swiftly addressed.
Sardar Awais Khan Leghari described the launch of the helpline as a significant accomplishment and recognized the support provided by the Federal Government, the Army Chief, the Establishment Division, and other stakeholders. He expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the successful implementation of this service.
The Federal Minister emphasized the government’s dedication to reforming the power sector. He stated that the ministry is committed to maintaining transparency and improving facilities for power consumers. Additionally, he mentioned plans to introduce new initiatives and incentives for employees to enhance their performance and ensure the effective handling of public complaints.
